Thats not a bad start.

I would say the obvious places to canvas would be the Met and the University.

I'm up for it if anyone wants to organise a time, perhaps someone there at each campus would point us in the right direction. Students Union perhaps?

Also, are there any engineering groups, associations or organisations in this area of Wales?

*plug* I run the South West Big Data meetup in Bristol we are close to 160 members now and we started last year with 4 people in a cafe. We have had companies like LinkedIn, The Guardian, Mclaren and HP to talk at our events. Sorry for the shameless namedropping but every group has to start somewhere!

Also, with new members come opportunities for spaces! Perhaps it would be better to talk about spaces once there are more interested members.
