My experience with "micromouse" is that robots are always popular, but it must have a purpose. For example, our mice are programmed to carry out three tasks, obstacle avoiding, line following, and "combat". You should have seen the excitement at the final last week! We use my favourite 8-bit micro, the HCS08 from Motorola/Freescale, however the very capable MBED can do the job in its spare time! regards Timothy ________________________________ From: hackspace-bounces at swansea.hackspace.org.uk [hackspace-bounces at swansea.hackspace.org.uk] on behalf of Ceri Clatworthy [ceri.clatworthy at gmail.com] Sent: 17 April 2014 15:31 To: Gerrit Niezen; hackspace at swansea.hackspace.org.uk; Justin Mitchell Subject: [Swansea Hackspace] I think this is the sort of thing we could be doing http://mbed.org/blog/entry/Robotiky-Robot-Kickstarter/ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform intended for artists, designers and hobbyists to easily create interactive objects and environments. To participate you will require a laptop with the Arduino software installed. If you have your own Arduino please bring it as I only have a small number of loan units. You can download the software from http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software Access to the venue will be through the gates at 11 wind street, adjacent to Cafe Nisse. One of us will be on the gate to let people in around the start time. If you intend to be late please let someone know in advance so that you can be admitted.
