Some further details on Southampton Hackspace's success in getting a
place of their own.

Sounds like they had free (just electricity) use of a small (400 sq ft)
place to help get themselves established, that and the money raised
through crowdfunding has helped them get a permanent place of their own.

Certainly i like the idea of offering/selling custom goodies to help
raise funds, and the suggestions of a big 'hack $foo gadget into $bar
cooler gadget' hackathon/course things.

But the stumbling block so far is finding that realistically priced
'starter' home for us, so everybody please keep their eyes and ears open
for locations.
