A quick reminder, for anyone that does not want to receive general chat,
you can opt to receive only event announcements.

put your email address into the box labelled:
"Unsubscribe or edit options"

On the next page enter your password, and you get into your personal
settings page.

here you can switch between receiving each mail seperately, or as a
digest.

And further down the page you can opt to receive only the
'Announcements' topic.  if you tick any of the topic boxes you will
receive only postings tagged with those topics.

All event and other important annoucements will always be tagged with
the [Announce] topic key word in the subject.
