Hi,

I thought you and members of the Swansea hackspace might be interested
in a free-of-charge workshop on the 19th May called "Enabling new value
streams in community based manufacturing" that Cardiff University is
organising as part of the EPSRC's redistributed manufacturing
initiative.  The workshop is focused on re-distributed and community
based manufacturing, looking at how micro and small sized SMEs can
contribute to the local and regional economy.  If you are interested in

The idea of re-distributed remanufacturing has become increasingly
popular, yet there is no real understanding of size and shape of it
within different city regions, the infrastructure that is necessary to
support and nurture it, and new value streams it creates. This workshop
aims to develop an understanding of community-based / re-distributed
manufacturing, how it can enhance resilience within a city region, and
the e-infrastructure and resources required to support it.
