depends on the diameter but i imagine a tube will be difficult, the
focal depth of the laser, the depth where the beam is strong enough to
cut, isnt very deep, maybe 10mm or so at most.

the metal grid plate that is in the cutter is positioned so that the
focal point is hopefully around 1-2mm above the surface, so that a 3-
4mm thick piece of material is right in the cutting zone.

if the tube is larger diameter than that then only part of it can be in
focus and cut at any time.
