Dear Alex,

Very interested in your vintage evening proposal!

I receive a magazine from the British Vintage Wireless
Society. Once in a while they send a DVD with films from
the 50s and 60s mainly, e.g. how valves are made,
how cathode ray tubes are made, a very early scheme
for automated assembly electronic circuits. All "single
reelers" so about 11 mins. We could set up a monitor
and laptop to play a selection of these films as a sideshow.

We have lost our collection of Dragon 32 computers, they
went missing after the Science Fair last September. Pity.

Still, I have my original home-made computer from the 70s
using a National Semiconductors SC/MP2 processor, which
was used to demonstrate an early amateur radio repeater
control unit, among other things.

All the best,

Timothy

I'm curious if people might be interested in a vintage tech night in a month or so... I've got alot of stuff people can get hands on with from a 1920s collier's wonderbook, 1970s super8 projectors and cameras as well as various size cameras dating back to the 1920s, a1970s pong clone and B&w TV to plug it into... I don't know if anyone else has anything (or even some super8 film to watch) it could be a good night of retro kit, just gotta wait to get my car and stuff from home
