Don't knock those old 433 MHz modems. Robin set one up on the roof of Faraday and it gave coverage all over Swansea.


BTW, about a year ago I was approached about a LoRa node on the roof of Faraday - whatever became of that?

I'll be very surprised if you get that sort of range from the tech-hub -
the "few miles" is line of sight (ish). Mind you years and years ago with
old 433MHz modem stuff we did manage to get between Sandfields and the
University (just about).
