As Justin said.
Get one of those PSU front ends.
NOTE: Most of them DROP the voltage down,

I don't know of any (at a reasonable cost) that Increase voltage.

I would also recommend getting a few metal bode power resistors,
for safety, - wire them up in series with your LED.

probably 1 to 5 Ohms. just enough (hopefully) to protect against PEBCAC !!
