An oscilloscope event sounds brilliant,<br>
not sure if I could manage a Saturday<br>
at present.<br>

Yes we need a couple more CROs and<br>
signal generators to allow the "audience"<br>
(victims?) to try for themselves. I can <br>
provide both.<br>
<br>
A propos, I was in my lab today and I<br>
was horrified to find that GE (no names,<br>
no blame) had put loads of resistors - <br>
mostly still on bandoliers - in the bin!<br>
I rescued many of them and filled a <br>
large plastic bag. A useful resource<br>
for our modest stores, I think. GE had<br>
also thrown out some "kit built" multi<br>
meters, perhaps I shall let them go.<br>

We need lots of sig gens so that we can<br>
do some Lisssajous patterns - beloved<br>
of old Bond films in the villains secret<br>
base.<br>
<br>
I could bring a "posh" CRO to demonstrate<br>
how a dual timebase works.<br>

Hi All,<br>
I've been thinking of doing a basic intro on how to use the oscilloscopes in the space on a Saturday sometime soon.<br>
I'm still rather new at this analogue electronics myself so would appreciate some backup to correct me when I make mistakes.<br>
We also only have 2 oscilloscopes at the moment so there will be lots of sharing, we have had an offer of more from Dr. Tim along with some signal generators which would allow some of the cooler demos, but I don't know what happening with us actually getting
any of that stuff.<br>
What do people think?<br>
