There will be a joint lecture of the IET West Wales and the<br>
Swansea Amateur Radio Society at 7 pm on Thursday, 18th<br>
January (refreshments from 6:30 pm). The venue will be the<br>
Faraday Lecture Theatre, Faraday Building, Singleton Campus.<br>
<br>
The subject of the lecture is Ground Penetrating Radar, which<br>
is used extensively for non-invasive investigation of buildings<br>
where conventional archaeological techniques are ruled out.<br>
<br>
The speaker is Erica Carrick Utsi, who is well known in the field</div>
<div style="direction:ltr; font-family:Tahoma; color:#000000; font-size:10pt">of ground penetrating radar, and recently featured in a television</div>
<div style="direction:ltr; font-family:Tahoma; color:#000000; font-size:10pt">programme about Shakespeare's Tomb.<br>

This lecture is organised jointly by the Institution of Engineering<br>
Technologies and Swansea Amateur Radio Society. You will find<br>
more details in the attached flyer. Registration is not essential.<br>
