<body><div><div>i have a laptop that has no video it seems. An external screen does not work. So it <span>isnt</span> the <span>screen</span> itself. I have an identical model with partly broken screen that does work like this.</div>

<div>The laptop runs <span>ubuntu and is booting and I can log in with the password blind and it responds to pings on my internal network.</span></div>

<div>I can obviously try <span><span>swapping around the hard disk.</span></span></div>

<div>However, before then is there anything any one can suggest that I can easily do perhaps by typing in commands carefully and blindly to get access to the files across a network</div>
