[Swansea Hackspace] Welcome

Hello there and welcome,

This list and website are my attempt to round up all of the people in
Swansea who have expressed an interest in having a Hackspace / Makespace
in the city, and there have been quite a few.

For those not familiar with the idea, a hackspace is typically a kind of
shared workshop space where people can go to tinker with and create
their projects, with access to a collective set of tools and resources
as well as the knowledge and help of others. These spaces are also often
used as a social, meeting, and educational place as well.

This space, its running costs, and equipping it are all paid for from
funds raised by membership fees and donations, and would be run as a
non-profit or charity organisation.
