PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we NOT use Facebook for making decisions. This
is one of the reasons why we need physical meetings . This is the second
time, ( the first was the awful meeting venue) when someone has created
a problematic fait acompli. These things are I accept done with the best
of motives, but there are problems.
A lof of very serious IT people are averse to using Facebook for good
reasons. This is Richard Stallman's take on the issue. Yes THE RIchard
Stallman.

Most serious amongst the stories is Facebook making up "likes", such as
the person in a committed relationship who is supposed to "Like"
internet dating!
Before anyone calls me "Paranoid" again, I have very very good reasons
for saying what I do, and a degree of specialist knowledge. I cannot
tell you, however, because this is a publicly archived list. :-)
