[Swansea Hackspace] gluing 3d printed parts

I've got a little project I would like to run off on the printer, and the
parts will need to be glued or bonded.

Has anybody tried this? I can imagine that gluing parts printed with PLA
could be tricky - I was thinking about using the stuff I use on the PVC
waste pipes

What are your thoughts on the topic?
