[Swansea Hackspace] Battery replacement/upgrade for phone

The manufacturer of my phone does not sell replacemenr batteries.. it is a
lipo 3800mah near square single cell lipo... How feasible would it be to
produce a high performance replacement battery. Say out of a higher cell
count battery with the right dimensions or even find the right shape single
cell... Id need to wire it in to the ribbon cable that's on my existing
battery. The reason for this is my batteries rated capacity is now at 1500
mah instead of the original 3800 mah... I have found and ordered an
AliExpress clone but don't trust either it's peak charge voltage or its
actual capacity.
