[Swansea Hackspace] Battery replacement/upgrade for phone

That's an interesting project. Is there much online about this? I mean
safety features aside its only the voltage being pushed into the battery
you need to worry about... does anyone know what the control pins do on a
typical battery ?
I'm constantly trying to squeeze life out of old batteries ...... so
interested in learning more if you have ideas
